● Open to UX design, UX engineering, and senior graphic design roles
UX designer
who builds.
I design product UX and design systems for complex operations software, and I ship them in code. I also spent twelve years in brand, packaging, web, and product.
Process
The same five steps on every product project. The line under each one is what it looked like on Trips 2.0 and the design system.
- 01
Discover
Talk to the people doing the work before drawing anything.
Trips 2.0: discovery and field research before shipped components. - 02
Define
Information architecture, flows, and a shared vocabulary between design and code.
System: component names and props chosen so engineers and AI tools build the same thing. - 03
Design
Figma components first, then high-fidelity mockups the team reviews before build.
Tools: Figma, Claude Design for extra mockups and components. - 04
Build
Ship it in the product's own stack, with accessibility in the component, not a late review.
Stack: Blazor, Razor, Radzen, Material. Claude Code skills carry Figma to front-end. - 05
Measure
Check the result against the job the screen was supposed to do.
Result: average dispatch time down 60% after Trips 2.0.
How each case study is laid out
Each one follows this order.
- 01ProblemWhat was broken, and for whom.
- 02RoleWhat I owned, who I worked with, how long.
- 03ProcessResearch, sketches, flows, and the rejected options.
- 04SolutionFinal screens or work, annotated.
- 05OutcomeNumbers where they exist, plain words where they don't.
- 06What I'd changeOne honest thing.

I'm a designer who also writes the code.
I'm Ramon Reyes, a UX designer in Stockton, California. For the last two and a half years I was the only UX person at an aviation fuel marketplace, where I designed the product, the marketing site, and the mobile app, and built the design system the team used to ship them.
Before that I spent a decade in graphic design and front-end: packaging for national retail brands, e-commerce, and print. That background is why my interfaces are built to look finished, not just function.
